Currito, Cleveland, OH
Recently, we were traveling and needed someplace to eat in Cleveland airport. So we looked around for vegan food and there was really only two options, Curritos or Farmers Fridge. We chose the restaurant almost identical to Chipotle, but with much better options overall and for people who are vegan. We decided to get their tofu burrito with beans, white rice, and many other veggies. For example, we added kale, shredded carrots, romaine lettuce, and scallions for our unique combination. The vegetables they had all were very fresh and none of them were sitting there for a long time. Something that they do that Chipotle doesn’t, is once they’re done packing the burrito they toast it up which adds a slight crunch with each bite. Overall it tasted amazing with a lot more healthiness than other restaurants. The the tofu could be modified much more but it contributed protein texture, and some flavor. Though the peanut butter sauce gave a lot of extra flavor to the dish that the tofu didn’t. Overall, we were surprised with how good it was even though it was in an airport. I wouldn’t eat the tofu by itself but I would be happy to return.
Tofu: 2
Contributes to the Whole: 3.5
Burrito Texture: 4.5
Whole: 4.5 Unless you’re braces were just tightened. So much better than Chipotle.
As a sidenote, we had a dessert from Farmer's Fridge as well. We were pleasantly surprised with the chia seed pudding–though we can make better at home. (:
